Farming and
Government
Farming is hard
work but I always enjoy seeing a new crop begin to
grow and thrive. Farming involves preparing
the soil, planting a crop, and manipulating
growing conditions to reap the results of a
rewarding harvest. Many of the fundamentals
of farming can be applied to other areas of
life.
One of these areas is our government.
The seeds of sound principles and morals need to
be sown within our government; waste and
overspending need to be weeded out; conservatism
needs to be cultivated; and a struggling economy
needs to be fertilized with lower individual and
business taxes. The results of this
type of preparation would allow us to reap
the rewards of a more restricted government
that would recognize the sanctity of all human
life, bring more respect to our Constitution, and
require more personal responsibility. We
need new leadership in our representation for the
2nd U.S. Congressional District who will use some
of these same fundamentals.
Farming is a challenging but rewarding way of
life. Governing is also a challenge,
but with the right representation everyone can
reap the rewards. |
